With the MLS taking center stage this weekend, we have a host of notable matchups from across America on our hands. So, we have taken a look at a handful of fixtures that are worth keeping an eye out for on Sunday.
Sunday June 26th
BST 01:00 Inter Miami vs Minnesota
Starting with Sunday s hosts, marking their return from June s international break with a flat display on the road, there is no doubt that Inter Miami will be desperate to pick up an immediate response here. Eventually getting hit with a sluggish 2-0 loss away at Atlanta, that should not overshadow what has been a largely impressive run by Phil Neville s men. Knowing that a victory here could see them break into the Final Series places, the one-time Manchester United defender has seen his side lose just o…
We are a club in Serie C that already thinks with a Serie A mind.
Monza are no ordinary third-tier team in Italy. They are owned by former Prime Minister and Milan president Silvio Berlusconi, who returned to football in 2018 after selling his beloved Rossoneri a year earlier.
Now, Monza are dreaming big – aiming to be in Serie A in 2021. The Bagai were on track for promotion to the second division prior to the coronavirus pandemic, comfortably top of Serie C by 16 points through 27 games.
While COVID-19 has halted Monza s quest, their aspirations remain the same, despite the disruption.
It is undoubtedly true that we are experiencing a very challenging situation, Sporting director Filippo Antonelli told Stats Perform. We are in constant contact with…
AC Milan and Real Madrid have scheduled a meeting to discuss terms of a proposed permanent transfer of Brahim Diaz from the Spanish capital to Italy, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Diaz is, of course, already playing for Milan, having joined the Rossoneri on a two-year loan in 2021, and Milan are obviously keen to keep hold of the Spanish attacking midfielder who has so far scored 15 goals and produced 10 assists in 98 matches in all competitions for them, and who played a big role in their march to the Scudetto last season.
The current deal between the two clubs is understood to contain a buyout clause for Milan, set at €22 million, but which also enables Real to buy the 23-year-old back for €27m.
Keeping Diaz on a permanent basis is one of Milan s prioritie…
Juventus have been targeting a deal for Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino, hoping he can be acquired for around £20million.
Firmino, 30, has spent the past seven seasons with Liverpool, playing a major role in winning the 2019-20 Premier League and 2018-19 Champions League, but in the past season a series of injuries limited him to his fewest league appearances (20) and league goals (five) since arriving at Anfield.
Corriere dello Sport claims the Brazilian was not Juventus first choice when weighing up the striker market, but interest grew as it became increasingly unlikely they would be able to bring Alvaro Morata back to the club from Atletico Madrid.

Elche have appointed Jorge Almiron as head coach for their return to LaLiga following the surprising exit of Pacheta, the man responsible for their promotion.
The club confirmed Pacheta s departure on Tuesday in a significant blow to supporters, who had urged Elche to extend the popular coach s contract.
Pacheta took charge in February 2018 when they were in the third tier of Spanish football.
In 2019-20 he masterminded Elche s promotion via the play-offs despite having the fifth-smallest budget in the division, as they first saw off Real Zaragoza 1-0 on aggregate, before then beating Girona by the same scoreline with a dramatic winner in the final s second leg on Sunday.
It secured Elche s return to the top flight for the first time since their histori…

Liverpool have handed Sepp van den Berg a new long-term contract and allowed the defender to join Schalke on loan for the rest of the season.

Liverpool on Tuesday confirmed the 20-year-old has signed a new deal and will continue his development in the Bundesliga.
I was really happy when I heard Schalke were interested in me, the former Preston North End loanee stated. I will [take this chance] with complete conviction.

The Sun, citing Talksport, says the Bees would want a nine-figure fee for the 27-year-old.
