Andrey Arshavin has revealed his desire to return to Arsenal at the end of his loan spell with Russian outfit Zenit St Petersburg.
The 30-year-old forward, who signed for the Gunners in January 2009, endured a difficult few months at the Emirates prior to his temporary departure, being widely criticised by fans for a drop in form.
However, Arshavin insists he is still keen to continue his career with the north London side, particularly with his family settled in London.
When asked if he intended to return to Arsenal, Arshavin told RT Sports: Of course, yes.
Every player does not want to sit on the bench or the stands and watch the action from there.
When I was at Arsenal, I always wanted to play and not sit on the sidelines watching everything unfold.
I m used to living in London and while I am on loan at Zenit my family has stayed in London, because my children go to school there and everybody feels comfortable there.
